“The Great Kite Quest at Peppermint Park!”

Hi All,

How’s everyone’s week shaking out?  I know we’re all just waiting for Friday. It’s already Hump Day so WE’RE HALFWAY THERE! Hang in there, friends. The weekend’s coming!

I’ve got your Weekend Activity Schedule ready to fly (literally ).

This weekend is KITE QUEST and it’s BIG! This isn’t a one-hour kids craft that comes and goes. No, this is a whole weekend long kite themed adventure.

Before we dig in we've got a Special Raffle this weekend sponsored by Just A Mere Farm. The Raffle Winner will receive their big beautiful Rancher's Bouquet of flowers. You may recognize the 'Ranchers' as they make the rounds selling tickets. Tickets will be $1 and proceeds fund next years seed bank so these Ranchers can keep growing their beautiful flowers.

We kick it off on Friday with our Wind Token Scavenger Hunt. These special tokens are scattered across the entire campground. Find them, collect them, and hold onto them. They will be really important to anyone participating in Saturday’s Kite Building Bash. Wind Tokens will be turned in for your kite kit and special accessories.

Saturday continues as normal with our Legacy Horseshoe Tournament and BINGO.

***A quick note – I still unfortunately do not have anyone to cover the store or shoulder the esteemed mantle of BINGO Caller for this Saturday. I believe I have a BINGO Caller for much of the remaining season after this Saturday. I will try everything in my power to get coverage but just in case I don’t please know the store will be closed during BINGO and will re-open once BINGO is over.

The Callaghan’s and Campers put on a spectacular show last Saturday which was evident from the blasting 80’s music and the entire chorus of voices that accompanied it. I tip my hat to you Shawn and Bonnie! If anyone has pictures of the event, please send them to me.

Our ‘Movie Under the Stars went off with a bang, or rather a POP! as well. If there’s ever a popcorn eating contest, I know exactly who I’m calling. It was much enjoyed and who am I to deny you more of what you want. There will be another ‘Movie Under the Stars’ this Saturday so make sure to bring your blankets a join us.

We’ll close the weekend out with a Sunday Morning Kite Flying Contest. Ribbons and Certificates will be awarded. Perhaps a Kite Knighthood or Guardian of the Wind will be bestowed.

Further details can be found in the attached Activity Schedule. I have a few other things to share, and a rather big announcement so look for additional emails to follow.

Regards,

Melissa Camilini
